Understanding IELTS

IELTS is a standardised test which is taken for educational, occupational or immigration purposes. Depending upon your study programme or entry requirements, you may need to take either Academic or General Training. The Academic module is meant for students who wish to study in an Anglo-Saxon environment, whereas General Training is for those who want to work or migrate.

IELTS consist of 4 test modules & your final overall score is calculated as the average of the 4 modules.

Reading

The test contains 3 sections with 40 questions to answer.

The audio test has 4 unique sections, each with 10 questions. You get 30 min for the test and 10 minutes for filling the answer sheet.
